Dyfed Powys Police Dog Kennels Facility

Sterling Construction were contracted to build a new facility to home Dyfed Powys Police Dogs. The site was located within the Pembrey National Park, a place of historic and environmental beauty. The project scope consisted of the erection of a cladded steel frame building housing 12 new dog kennels, office space and canteen area inside. Sterling were employed as Principle Contractor and carried out the works on the entire project including groundworks, drainage, erection of the building and all internal works. Dyfed Powys Police wanted to maximise the use of the old helicopter base, where police driver training takes place. The new site was located adjacent to the old helicopter base that remained fully operational throughout the project. Sterling were able to implement extra health and safety measures to ensure the safety of the Police Officers and other members of staff visiting the existing building through robust policies and procedures.
