In 2022 Sterling Construction completed a 72 bed Care Home project in Llandybie whereby 36 rooms were added to the existing 36 live facility with residents remaining in situ during the project. The project consisted of 36 new build ensuite rooms alongside day rooms, staff rooms, cinema rooms, therapy rooms and a new commercial kitchen and dinner hall. The project was particularly challenging as the Construction Phase was built alongside a live operational Carehome environment. Sterling ensured strong communication streams between the Carehome Manager and Client were maintained throughout to guarantee health and safety standards and to have the least impact on the live operations of the Carehome and its residents.
